Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the internet. I’m a Product Designer at Atlassian. Previously, I was at Tinder, NBCUniversal, and Viacom and the UN. I love everything about design; from making sense out of complex, technical problem-spaces (@Atlassian), to solving ambigious and system-level problems (@Tinder), to designing experiences across different form-factors like iOS, Android, Alexa, TvOS, and WatchOS (@NBCUniversal).
Today, I live in New York, but spend a lot of time between San Francisco, Honolulu and Tokyo.
Outside of work, you can find me teaching and practicing yoga, surfing, painting, practicing bonsai, and exploring national parks with my dog, Gucci.

Atlassian
Currently designing for Compass’, a new Atlassian Developer product. I’m a part of Compass’ Ecosystem team, thinking about how users can connect their toolchain info’ into Compass.
I regularly think about the complex space, tools and practices in which ‘Software Engineering’ teams operate in, from Developers to Platform Engineers. Apart from thinking about integrations, I also own experiences such as Templates & Automation, Operations & On-call, Compass AI (a variation of Atlassian Intelligence), and have contributed to Compass’ onboarding experience.

NBCUniversal
I joined NBCUniversal's Emerging Apps & Platforms team, where I primarily worked on iOS, WatchOS, TvOS, Alexa and Android products. I helped redesign CNBC's iOS app, and lead the redesign for the Android, TvOS, Alexa and WatchOS apps'.
I look back at my time at NBCUniversal as some of my favorite - where I got the opportunity to regularly create experiences for different users, with different technical and spatial constraints on different products, and different content types; i.e Market Data, News, Live TV, Video, Podcasts, CarPlay, etc.
01. How It Started
I was born in New Delhi and raised in Westwood, NJ. I grew up practicing fine arts, specifically oil painting, and formally trained at the Arts Students League in New York under Barbara Yeterian.
After graduating high school, I went to the New School, initially studying Economics (parents weren't too keen on me pursuing fine arts 😅). After a year of hating it, I switched to a design program at Parsons, where I majored in Design Strategy, and minored in Design and Technology.
There, I was exposed to a lot of different parts of the craft, from theory, process, methodologies, to different tech' mediums. I got to explore creative coding, physical computing, and game design through technologies like Unity, Arduino/Raspberry Pi, and Cinder/OpenFramework. Getting to explore all of this gave me an appreciation and deep understanding of how experiences are 'built' not just designed.
02. How It's Going
Today, I'm at Atlassian on the Point A team where I get to design for new products such as Compass. Ive been fortunate enough to experience some 'world-class' design, being in the presence of some of the best designers and leaders in the industry. I get to regularly see (and learn) how they wrangle some of the most complex technical and system problems.
03. Where I'm At
I travel a lot, sometimes for work, but based out of New York. For about half the year though, you can find me working out of Atlassian's office in Yokohama, Japan, San Francisco, or Bangalore, and ocasionally, remotely from Honolulu!
04. What I Do for Fun
Today, a lot of my time is going into surfing (especially if I'm in Honolulu, if not, I surf the Wave Pool in Jersey), painfully stumbling my way through Japanese, and ramping up my knowledge on all-things AI. This year I spent a lot of time with my dog Gucci exploring national parks like Shendoah and Yellowstone.
I also spend a chunk of my time subsitute teaching at Yoga studios (when I'm back home).
